Prior to joining Ascendant Capital Partners, Eric Calder was the Co-Chief Investment Officer of Dune Real Estate Partners, a New York City-based real estate investment firm. At Dune, he was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and led over $6 billion in transactions across the residential, retail, industrial, office and hospitality sectors.

Paul Manavalan
Associate

Paul Manavalan joined Ascendant Capital Partners in 2025 and serves as an Associate. Prior to joining Ascendant Capital Partners, Paul worked as an Associate with CIM Group’s Real Estate Equities team in Los Angeles. At CIM Group, Paul was responsible for the acquisition and asset management of various assets across multiple funds and strategies. Prior to CIM, Paul was an Analyst with Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investing team in New York City. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Paul was involved in transactions totaling over $1bn across core, net lease, and opportunistic strategies. Paul graduated from the University of Houston with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance.
